What have I been doing in Singapore?

1 minute

One of the reasons I started this blog was to experiment and learn from this blog — how to build an audience, how to keep them coming back to the website, what kind of content do they like, how long should posts be, and so on.

One of the most important things about building an audience is to give them regular content. It does not have to be daily content, but it has to be regular enough for the audience to expect and look forward to.

Which is something that I have so far not delivered on. Its nice to be asked — when is the next post — though I getting more messages asking me if I was ok. Such love!

I have a few posts percolating, so I will try to get them done as soon as possible. The long term plan will be to publish one every other day. I think that more doable than everyday. Some of the posts percolating are about what I have been doing in Singapore, the rest about thoughts I have had while in Singapore. Below are ideas for posts, as well as just things I have done in Singapore. In no particular order;

  • thoughts on the book ‘When breath becomes air’ and being alone
  • thoughts on grit as per Angela Duckworth’s book of the same name
  • managed to spend some time investigating and getting into grime — a UK genre of rap. Current fav track.
  • watched the Season 2 of Narcos. Loved it!
  • bought new footwear after reading Deskbound by Kelly Starrett. Breaking them in.
  • started to read some books and finished a few. Kindle!
  • the changing visual landscape in Singapore. So many colours.
  • nostalgic about Singapore as I rebuild my map of Orchard Road
  • Skype mentoring and being mentored sessions
  • eating delicious food — everything can be delivered!
  • not having curry or laxatives. Never would have thought that!
